  2. Tracks on "The Altogether" are so short, they're over before you can even get into them. The only track that clocks in past six minutes is the conclusion, "Meltdown", which happens to be one of the clear highlights of the album, giving us a glimpse of what we wished we could be consistently seeing. But one thing remains true/5.
  3. Apr 18,  · It's genuinely surprising to find a consistent act like Orbital slipping to such depths, but The Altogether is a poor album and by far a low point in Orbital's career. [A limited-edition double-disc release of The Altogether added 11 tracks of bonus material and remixes.] ~ John BushReleased on: April 18,
  4. The Altogether is Orbital's sixth studio album and was released in It features guest vocals by the Hartnolls' brother-in-law David Gray, a sampled Ian Dury, a sample from 'Sober' by Tool and a version of the Doctor Who theme.
  5. poor: RatchetSly | January 8th While the second disc (self-done remixes) is reasonably interesting and the finale of the album itself, Meltdown, possibly being the best song Orbital's ever done, the main body of the album itself is generic at best and irritating for the rest of it.
  6. Apr 12,  · It doesn't really become great near the end, with Shadows being a forgettable track, Waving Not Drowning being a bit too long for my taste, and Meltdown, while great, felt like it didn't deserve to be 10 minutes long3/5(15).
